Instead of a period, they used the same delete key cap there that is under the insert key. Only complaint I have with this change, is the period on the 10 key pad. They also changed their old font with in my opinion, a much better and more classic feeling font. It is a bit heavier than the non x blackwidows, Removing the cover is not the only aesthetic change they made. With the blackwidow x, the main difference between it and the normal blackwidow, is that they removed the plastic cover off of the top, which exposes a full metal body.
I would really like to see razer implement cherry switches in the chroma keyboards as well. Sadly the ultimate (non rgb) is the only model that comes with the cherry switches as of now. You can get the ultimate edition with cherry blues, or the razer green switches. Razer is also bringing back cherry switches on the BWX. There is the chroma, the ultimate and the tournament edition, which is nothing different than the other blackwidows. The blackwidow X is the newest member of razer's blackwidow series of keyboards.
